CASE STUDY - 'Investor in People'

In October 2003, Haz's Cars Limited of King's Lynn sought the help of Adept Training & Employment Services to assist them achieve the Investors in People standard.

Adept helped them do this by putting in place a range of policies and procedures, training schemes and communication channels. To help implement all of this, quarterly Team Days were held, which gave staff the opportunity to express their point of view, get to know each other and the management team much better and become more involved with the business in general. A staff newsletter was also published between team days designed to keep staff up-to-date with developments.

As a result, the company was able to achieve recognition as an employer that invests in its people, which was gained in record time - just eight months! They are also the first Taxi Company in East Anglia to receive the award.

Having come this far in such a short space of time has spurred them on their way to gaining the ISO9000 quality standard as they are keen for their customers to understand what importance they place on the service they provide - the highest standards, greatest efficiency and with professionalism. Adept Training & Employment Services will again be assisting them with their quest for ISO9000.
